Suncatcher caught me off guard. It seemed more complex and a bit less accessible than the other CDs (of which I have all). But then I found myself hitting replay over and over as I began to appreciate the richness and depth of this wonderful cd. After about 12 replays I can't stop listening, I hear new things each time. But in the end, it is true Faith, true beauty, pure God come to life. I once heard that God's gift to us is our talent. Our gift back is sharing it with the world. The first time I heard Faith sing "Vision" was at our Humanity's Team Potluck in Long Beach. It's message brought me to tears. I am in a transition phase of my Life where I am making some big decisions about where to place my biggest efforts. I was sitting and thinking about the Crossroads and starting to feel angst. My 3 year old son walked in the room and asked “What is SunCatcher?” (He's never heard me say the name of the album). “Well, it's the name of this album here on the music player…” I proceeded to put on the CD which was sitting on top of the player and the sadness lifted. It was reminder to me of how we are all so Blessed and supported all the time. One of the Blessings is your beautiful music that has really been a great source of Joy. You know how when you hear a new CD, you dum de dum a few lines then decide that you really want to move on to the next song? I couldn't do that with this CD. She has a beautiful voice and style. It is an awesome body of work and I love that the music has a soft filter throughout. Her lyrics are poetic but not too cerebral so that the poetry grabs you but it does not alienate.... Know what I mean? It had touches of Seawind and Enya yet it was uniquely her own style. Awesome. ~Becca Godinez, Lomita, CA
