E KOMO MAI

After living in LA for years, I finally moved back home in 2017 to raise my kids with family.  It was so amazing to return to open, loving arms.  It was as if we had never left.  So amazing to finally feel that warm aloha and see the gifts of this island culture that I took for granted when I was growing up.  E Komo Mai (means "come in" in Hawaiian) is my welcome home song back to my family that I left years ago for college and back to these beautiful islands that shaped my childhood and now is the backdrop for my kids growing up.  So sweet!!!

E KOMO MAI

It's been forever since I've called this home

Something about this place that moves my soul

I feel the aina and the warm sunshine

Still makes me happy after all this time

Open arms, gentle smiles

They welcome me with loving eyes

E komo mai (e komo mai)

E komo mai (e komo mai)

E komo mai - I'm finally home

E komo mai

My auntie always greets me local style

With hugs & kisses - so sweet & kind

She never tries to hide the way she feels

She lives aloha and her love is for real

Open arms, gentle smiles

They welcome me with loving eyes

E komo mai (e komo mai)

E komo mai (e komo mai)

E komo mai - I'm finally home

E komo mai

Home is where I’m meant to be

That’s where I feel the island breeze

Oh….it fills my soul  - I am

Home where the rainbows paint the sky

Home where I’ll raise my precious child

Oh…

E komo mai (e komo mai)

E komo mai (e komo mai)

E komo mai

E komo mai (e komo mai)

E komo mai (e komo mai)

E komo mai - I'm finally home

E komo mai (e komo mai)

E komo mai - I'm finally home

E komo mai (e komo mai)

E komo mai - I'm finally home

E komo mai
